Discover Paul's Story

I’d be lying if I told you I’ve always dreamed of writing a novel. The only thought I had about writing a book in the last thirty years was about lessons learned in business. I thought that would be boring, so it never got any momentum.

I had major back surgery in the fall of 2024 and was told I’d be laid up for four to six weeks. My wife asked me what I would do with all that time. I jokingly told her, “Maybe I’ll write a book.”

I had an idea I thought would make a great book, so I started writing. ‘Black Void’ just came out. Every chapter I wrote led to the next. I knew how the story should unfold and how I wanted it to end. I wrote the entire book in less than six weeks. Now, I guess I’m an author.

So, how does someone who has never written anything longer than a press release write a book? It’s even worse than that. When I graduated high school, I had never read a book and could barely write. During my first semester in Junior College, a great instructor taught me how to be a student. I owe him a lot. I wish I could remember his name.

I did well in my previous career. I went from Tech to CEO, saw the world, and met many great people. I have a wonderful wife and four children. I guess you could say I’ve lived a blessed life.
